Meet Anthea Chishanu (Bursar & Administrator)

Meet Anthea Chishanu (Bursar & Administrator)

My main focus at NETS this year and onward is to be a faithful servant of God and to work hard (God help me). I believe God sent me to NETS. I met my husband at NETS and got married last December. Ironically he is a student and I am a staff member. I mean who does that? God has a sense of humour. But God did not only send me here to get married. I look forward to seeing His will unfolding as I serve Him at NETS. It is a wonderful place. We are one big family."

Meet Wilko Olles (completed BTh at NETS in 2013)

"My time at NETS has been one of the most fruitful times of my life. Learning from God's Word in community with other believers, many of whom are much wiser and older in the faith, was a great blessing to me, one that has shaped and formed me. Even though I haven't been at NETS for a year now, I still consider NETS' staff and students to be family and am continuously encouraged by their faith and work for the Lord. For the near future I hope to continue my studies at a Master's level, a task that I believe NETS has adequately prepared me for. After that, I hope to serve the Lord in whichever way he calls me to."

Meet Patrick Djuulume (Diploma of Theology, 3rd year)

Meet Patrick Djuulume (Diploma of Theology, 3rd year)

"God has challenged me this year that sometimes I am too comfortable with my level of faith and spirituality. Just because I am a student at a theological college does not mean that I have made it and therefore I do not need to grow in my faith. The opposite is true. God has been teaching me that the process of holiness will go on for the rest of my life. Every day I need to repent and learn how to be more obedient to God and become more like him.
Being at a theological college also makes you realise how much you don't know. First I thought I am already advanced in my knowledge but as I started attending classes I realised that there are still so many things I do not know. God has been faithful to me and continued to teach me new things."

Meet Mike Knight (Lecturer of Youth Ministry)

"What I'm most passionate about in ministry is youth. I desire to see generations of young people passionately following Christ and getting involved in His mission in the world. I've been greatly encouraged by hearing stories of how students in my Youth Ministry course have already been putting into practice the things we talked about in class. It's great to be serving here!"

Meet Gerswen Mouton (4th year Bachelor of Theology)

Meet Gerswen Mouton (4th year Bachelor of Theology)

My favourite subject last year at NETS was 'Hebrew'. I love the fact how we can study a language which the Bible was written in, and to see where certain English names get their meaning from and where they originated from. I am grateful that many questions are answered at NETS while we are doing different subjects such as Systematic Theology, World Religions, Missions, Youth and Children Ministry, Old and New Testament and preaching class. These subjects from second semester last year had a big impact on my faith. My faith is strengthened at NETS and this makes me want to learn more about God and makes me want to be more dependent on Him.

Meet Simba Musvamhiri (completed BTh in 2011)

Meet Simba Musvamhiri (completed BTh in 2011)

Simba now lives in Perth, Western Australia, where his wife Helen was born and is currently completing an MA in Theology at Trinity Theological College in Perth. Since Simba started living in Australia, he has been teaching the Bible week by week in Bible study groups, preaching and teaching. He writes:
"Generally speaking, I perceive Australia to be a post-modern and atheistic country. It is very difficult for Christian...s to live out their faith, let alone sharing your faith with someone. Despite the backlash from this culture, God has opened many opportunities for conversations, prayer and preaching ministry.
Currently licenced as an Assistant minister in a growing congregation situated on the edge of the city of Perth I have also become aware of hundreds of opportunities to share the Gospel in some very remote and difficult places where I have been invited once.
NETS' accredited degrees are high quality and have allowed a smooth transition for me into post-graduate studies in Australia. My family and I will always remember our well-spent four years at NETS. Hats off to all the faculty, who by God's enabling power, strived to see my academics, personal life, marriage, relationships, family and ministry, shaped by the living word of God. 'Praise be to God our Saviour who causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 2:14)'. "

Meet Lavinia Kafaambada Ndeiluka (NETS Campus Manager)

Meet Lavinia Kafaambada Ndeiluka (NETS Campus Manager)

"I joined NETS ten years ago as a secretary for the Distance Department and I have been enjoying my job very much - whether it was as a Secretary for the Distance Department dealing with students and marking their tests or now as a Campus Manager. NETS is blessed with a nice looking campus. It is important to us that all students, staff and boarders feel at home and can be proud of the place where they live, study or work. I have seen so many positive changes at NETS over the past 10 years also thanks to the many donors who helped us to build and maintain the campus. God has been good and if you know NETS from the old days I invite you to come and experience the changes for yourself."

Meet Daniel Kavangu (Diploma in Ministry)

"Once I am done with my study at NETS I would like to work in the rural area where the Gospel has not been heard. God has called me to be a teacher of the Word to the people. People come to God through hearing His Word. One of the good things that I will remember when I leave NETS at the end of this year is the helpfulness of lecturers when it comes to assignments as well as general challenges in life."
